‘The Mandela Effect Phenomenon’ | Forget It

The Mandela Effect is a cool thing to talk or read about, and for a while, the new doc The Mandela Effect Phenomenon takes us through a “greatest hits” of things we have all misremembered (Forest Gump didn’t say “Life is Like a Box of Chocolates” and Darth Vader didn’t say “Luke, I Am Your Father”).

But then this amateurish production (dude, you don’t need a loud music bed going all-the-way-through the movie!) descends into madness, featuring non-stop talking head interviews with two nut balls, journalist Mark Laflamme and Author & Mandela Effect Researcher Jacob Israel. When these guys say they “researched”, they mean they went on the Internet and read some kooky stuff.

For Example? “Is a supernatural force “Editing” history?”

Or what about a parallel universe? What if we are in a simulation, you know, like the Matrix or something? They (the nut balls) phrase these as questions, as if to say, “Hey, I’m not saying it’s 100% true, I’m just asking the question.”

The long back- to- back soundbites get monotonous and tiresome long before the conclusion of the movie. It looks terrible, the amateur mistakes, like leaving in the part of the interviews where the subjects are telling the producer what their full names are and how to spell them? That’s supposed to happen off camera, not in the finished product.

But, yeah, it starts off kinda fun, looking at all the examples of the phenomenon. If you’re down for that, or if you’re a nut ball, dear reader, then The Mandela Effect Phenomenon is available on digital.

Here are some more examples from the web, by the way.
