Don’t you love finding great food in unlikely places? Ravi Kabob boasts, perhaps, the worst ambience of any eatery in Arlington. The lighting is dingy, the linoleum floor depressing, and the guy at the cash register does Not-Have-Time for you to glance at the menu and decide what you want, so HURRY UP! Cash Only!!
The good news is that the food is so good, you’ll forget all about the aesthetics and lose yourself in the yumminess. Delectable lamb kabobs served over slightly spicy chick peas and rice will have you making sounds usually reserved for the bedroom. Never mind the paper plate, the exotic flavors and authentically prepared Pakistani staples are the real deal. The meat is more tender , not as tough as other places I’ve tried. I suspect it’s the marinade. The Naan (flat bread) is cooked on site and still hot when you use it to scoop up those chick peas. You might regret it later that night, but you’ll only have good memories by the next day. And it’s open 24 hours. Go late and break bread with the off-duty cab drivers for some fun conversations.

This place has never disappointed and compared to other kabob places I’ve eaten, this one is tops. As a special treat, I always order a slice of baklava for dessert!
